Ark Syndicate Management
London - 17 September 2008 – Syndicate 4020 Ark is a Lloyd’s syndicate that commenced underwriting risks for the 2007 Year of Account and is managed by Ark Syndicate Management Limited, a subsidiary of Group Ark Insurance Holdings Limited (“GAIHL”).
The principal financial institution that provided the equity capital to GAIHL for the benefit of the group was Aquiline Capital Partners. Additional investors were Lehman Brothers and Swiss Re.
Each investor’s equity capital investment was cash in return for a shareholding in GAIHL and, as such, these capital investments are not at risk following recent events in the financial market, in particular the recent filing for bankruptcy protection by Lehman Brothers.
