Property Programmes

The Property Programs business underwritten at the Ark is made up of delegated underwriting authorities granted to independent insurance agents with long standing connections to the Lloyd's market and with the underwriters of the account.

Approximately 90% of the business underwritten emanates from the USA with a small international and Canadian element.

The business accepted is predominately short tail and includes exposures to windstorm, flood and earthquake risks.

The syndicate's focus is to maintain a balanced book of business where peak exposures are managed and modelled internally and where coverholder relationships and control are key.
